Election Day... VOTE
Here are the words for today's date, Election Day this year...from my morning devotional book Praying God's Word Day by Day, by Beth Moore.
I pray to You, O Lord, in the time of your favor; in Your great love O God, answer me with Your sure salvation.
Resucue me from the mire, do not let me sink; deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep waters. Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the pit close its mouth over me.
Answer me, O Lord, out of the goodness of Your love; in Your great mercy turn to me. Do not hide Your face from Your servant; answser me quickly, for I am in trouble. (Psalm 69:13-17)
According to Your Word, in this world I will have trouble, but I am to take heart! You have overcome the world! (John 16:33)
I couldn't think of more appropriate words for the state of our country in this age and how our beliefs are persecuted in sometimes a very subtle and other times a very blatant way.
Lord have mercy on the United States. May we return to the Christian values that this great nation was founded upon. Amen.
Due to an election day post, I will post my Yes to God Tuesday post on Thursday this week, returning to Tuesday on next week.

Lord, protect us and guide us. Your word does not come back void, and Miss Kristen, shared a GOOD WORD.
I've been praying for so long about this election and have had moments of anxiety but this morning I woke up completely at peace. No knot in my stomach about the outcome, no doubting that our Lord is in complete control. Sheltered in shadow of His perfect will and plan is such a nice place to be! And my Grace Note for the day was that there was no line at all when my daughter (first time voter!) and I went to the polls this morning.
Wonderful post Kristen!
I like your new layout. I couldn't choose between this one and the new one I have:)
Amen, sweet one. We are so blessed to have this privilege. I voted very early today, continuing to pray...
Thank you for this encouragement.
Blessings,
Tracy
This is the first time I've read your blog. I have been burdened and been in prayer about this election. We have prayed that God will show mercy, even though this county is deserving of judgement. Thanks for your encouraging words. Donna
Regardless of the outcome of this election, we are so blessed to be free American citizens. There's a lot of complaining of what's wrong but I say spend one day in a less priveleged country and our perspective would change.
I LOVE your new background border. Very creative.
Love,
Paula
I like your new layout!
Love the verses for today...I was reading them while listening to the news on the TV. Thank you for sharing God's word with us!
I voted and Kenneth voted in his first election... sigh, where does the time go? I feel great apprehension.
