It's All About Him...

I had the pleasure of reading Denise Jackson's book "It's All About Him, Finding the Love of My Life". For you country music fans, Denise Jackson is Alan Jackson's wife. I am not what you would call a country music fan, however I am a big fan of Jesus and the miracles that He can do in a person's life!

In a world of humble beginnings, to a world of glitz and glamour, Denise takes you on a trip of transformation. Not just in her marriage, but in her life. I found it so interesting that Denise had been blessed w/ so many of the world's riches... but what was most precious to her was what she almost lost. Read it sisters - whether married, single, divorced.... it can apply not just to your marital relationship... but it will speak to anyplace in your life that you are struggling. Her book emphasizes the important role her faith in God placed in her restoration... and ultimately the restoration of her marriage. I don't want to give any of the book away. I don't want to share too much because I don't want you to have any preconceived notions about her life etc!

To close I want to share a portion of her book where she penned verses from Psalm 46 and then shared some words from a friend's prayer journal - these words that were prayed over, were answered by God! Glory! I have modified the prayer as I pray it over all of you, whomever you are, whomever might read my post.

Psalm 46
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way

and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,

the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;

God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields [
b] with fire.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth."
11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Lord, I pray that we may be comforted in the holy place, where You, the Most High dwells. That You will be with us, that we will not fall. Lord, wake us up with the confidence that the Lord Almightywill be our fortress. Let us be still and know that YOU are God!!!
Amen!
