WFW ~ Nor Rain Nor Drought...

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
~ Matthew 7:25

The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."
~ Isaiah 40:8

It's hard to believe that both of these photos are of my backyard and both were taken this year. The first was taken early in June on a very rainy day. There was flooding in areas that never flood. The second photo was taken last week. As you can see the rains of June faded into the drought of August. The comparison of the two photos startled me and I wanted to share both for Word Filled Wednesday.

Our foundation is Christ and His promise... God's Word will stand forever! Hallelujah!

I love the contrast of the two photos. Such a great reminder of how God is with us no matter our circumstances!

Happy Birthday!

(You mentioned on my blog that there are 365 verses on fear... do you happen to have that in a list? If so, I would so love to have that!)

Have a wonder filled day!

Blessings Kristen and it looks like HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Two very good contrasts and perfect accompanying verses! I'm sorry the weather has had such an impact! Hoping that a spring like soft rain will restore your yard!

But one thing is for certain your foundation being built on HIS WORD will last and stand all the tests of storms because HE is faithful!

Thank you for sharing even though it's your BIG B-day! I only pray that you will receive many blessings and much love so you can enjoy YOUR day! Have a beautiful WFW and lots of fun today celebrating your life! Thanks for your visit and comment!

Happy Birthday!

Isaiah 40:8, is a scripture that I have memorized in the past couple of weeks.

Startling contrast, these two pictures.

They do not say to themselves, 'Let us fear the LORD our God, who gives autumn and spring rains in season, who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.' Jeremiah 5:24

Love,
Yolanda

It's amazing how God always gives us what we need. I can't believe these two pictures were taken in one summer.

we've been under drought conditions since last year...so, there is some blessing in the hurricanes headed our way which will bring some restoration of water levels, hopefully.

I love Indiana, Brown County specifically! I got to spend time at an Indiana University and Ohio State football game, a weekend on a large corn farm, and a beautiful mountain trip to enjoy Brown County in the fall! I often wan to go back and spend more time there.
Praying you get some rain relief soon!
Come visit when you can...

Striking contrast. I love it. I also love the fall look of the blog. I am so hankering for some chill and some color.

All seasons in his hands.

I live about an hour from you....in North Vernon (down 65, Seymour exit). We experienced that crazy flooding this summer. It was unbelievable! Never would I have expected such a thing.
It has been a wild weather year.

Love your blog....and Happy Birthday to you!

Here in Michigan we say that if you don't like the weather, just wait a couple of hours, it may change!

Beautiful blog!

Thank you for stopping by!

What beautiful scripture, matched with great pictures! I'm so glad to hear that you guys did not have much damage during the flooding, Praise God!

Happy belated birthday!

And thank you for the request of prayer for Sarah, I'd never been to her blog before this, but after reading her posts it brought back memories of my son that I lost at 8weeks. Bitter sweet.

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog, so I could find yours! It was a blessing reading your blog today.

In Christ,
Audie
