WFW ~ Nor Rain Nor Drought...

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
~ Matthew 7:25

The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God stands forever."
~ Isaiah 40:8

It's hard to believe that both of these photos are of my backyard and both were taken this year. The first was taken early in June on a very rainy day. There was flooding in areas that never flood. The second photo was taken last week. As you can see the rains of June faded into the drought of August. The comparison of the two photos startled me and I wanted to share both for Word Filled Wednesday.

Our foundation is Christ and His promise... God's Word will stand forever! Hallelujah!

WFW ~ August 27

Genesis 1:25 ~

"God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."

Here are my two babies... Jet the Whippet who's registered name is: Wildaire, Grace by Faith and my sweet, fat cat: Jasper. They are buddies and I love them both dearly!

WFW - Genesis 2:23-24

Photobucket

Yes, it's Word Filled Wednesday! It's been a few weeks since my last WFW post!

The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman,
for she was taken out of man."

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

~ Genesis 2:23-24

On September 22 of this year I will celebrate 18 years of marriage with Jim. Richer, poorer, better, worse, sickness, health... God has been there through it all. I am so blessed that this man has stood by me, that we have stuck together - knowing that it takes more than a wedding, but a marriage built on the foundation of the Triune God... Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
