This morning my husband called me to the kitchen window... a blue jay was going from the feeder to the fence, giving a kernel of corn to his mate. What a delight! As it is spring time I am sure he was courting her. An ordinary bird, on an ordinary day... just an ordinary miracle... do you see them?
Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles:
A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself.
An unexpected phone call from an old friend.
A butterfly lighting on a flower
Green stoplights on your way to work.
The fastest line at the grocery store.
A good sing-along song on the radio.
Your keys found right where you left them.
The sun streaming through dark clouds
Rain drops watering the earth
A smile from a stranger that lifts your spirits
There are many, many ordinary miracles that go un-noticed. Do you hear the whisper of God? He's in those ordinary mircacles. God isn't just about being Big! His "biggness" is also in the small, ordinary things... I pray you take time to notice. Let the Lord delight you today. Look for His delights, not just in the big things, but in the little things. He is there... Glory!
I love this song by Sarah McLaughlin - I hope you do too!

I think some times we get so busy that we forget to look around us and see Gods creation, for the beauty it beholds for us...
Thank you

Hi Kristen,
Found you by way of Elaine's blog. I love this post! I love looking for God's ordinary miracles! They're everywhere if we just look! Beautiful post! Looking forward to visiting your blog again, soon.
Blessings,

Kristen:
Just a little while ago, we stopped off at a friend's house on our way home from school. The kids love visiting our elderly neighbor. She told them about a birds' nest that had taken root in her wreath on the front door. We carefully approached the porch and noticed that the nest was on top of the wreath, thus we couldn't see its contents. I asked our friend for a stool, and when high enough to see, I witness four beaks pearing over the edge of the nest. Momma bird was squawking her disapproval close by, as I ran and grabbed my camera for a close up.
I didn't miss my ordinary miracle today, and don't worry...you'll witness it too on my blog one day soon!
I'm so glad that you are back up and posting again. I love the complexity of what you say in such a simple way.
Happy Weekend! You are loved.

It must be the season for bird watching because I just found the tiniest nest inside a fern hanging outside my front door. Inside the nest were two eggs, no bigger than my pinkie fingernail. I love the reminder of God being in the little things, thank you for sharing your heart today!!!
Also, thanks for the comment on my blog. To answer your question I used the Denim Stretch Blogger template. I changed the colors and added my own header that I created at a place called Foto Fusion. It was fun but since I am slooow it was time consuming...
Take care and I hope to "see" you soon....
Love,
Kelley
Kristen,
I too love birds and see them as such a wonderful miracle. I have many birds in my back yard because my property lines up to a wooded area. I have been noticing these most magnificent blue birds. They are not tiny but rather a good size bird. They are extremely bright blue. About the color of the fence on your blog. They have a lighter blue and white also. Absolutely breath taking. I wish I could get close enough to take a picture. Just thinking about the bird brings me joy. We have an awesome Creator who blesses us with beautiful birds, flowers, sunrises, sunsets. Nature is so beautiful...and some say there's not a God...how?
See you,
Paula
Beautiful post. And I must say I adore your wish for a coffee pot freshly made by someone other than me! : )
I actually had to come back and read this post again, that is just how much I love it. : ) Beautiful. Thank you for visiting my blog and joining me in prayer for Blossoming Career Girl. lol. She does have a lovely name, doesn't she? ; )
Be blessed today in King Jesus.
