Thought for the day...

"Peace has everything to do with the authority of God in our lives and nothing to do with circumstances."

I don't know where I heard this quote, but I have it written on a piece of paper and hanging over my desk in my office. Believe me, being a real estate agent in this tough real estate market - I look at that quote daily!

I was having a discussion with some colleagues this morning who are also Christians. We talked about how the Lord is really encouraging us to trust Him to provide for us as we navigate this tough market. We trust He will provide us what we need and will direct our paths. Yes, we have the peace that passes all understanding and I thank Him today for that!

Beautiful quote. Thanks for sharing it. It reminds me of Philippians 4:5-7, "The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Our peace is in Him.

Blessings,
Joy

Jesus is our Peace in the midst of shifting seasons. He is our constant thread of hope that ties us deep and strong to the heart of heaven. When I think of where I would be without Him...

that's a painful imagining.

What a great quote. I think I might have to print that one, too! It reminds me of a favorite scripture (that I call upon quite often...)

Isaiah 26:3-4(NIV)
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal”.

Thank you for this encouragement today!

Blessings,
Tracy

Hi Kristen. My house still has not sold after 15 months. I'm now emotionally ready so I'm hoping any time now God will sell it. I don't believe it's naivity to say that my house not selling has NOTHING to do with the market. Rather, I have to continue to believe my God will sell it when He chooses and is ready for me to leave this place or has prepared the buyers or has a place ready for me to rent OR buy. Yes, I'm seriously leaning toward buying willing God provides the right house as a sign of His doing.

Pray for me. I find it hard now that I'm really ready and I even know of two houses that might be possibles. I've not gone to look inside of them b/c I'm afraid that will increase my excitement to move.

That is good word, indeed. Did I mention I live in Muncie? We're pretty close. I think you and Cindy at Still His Girl are the only Hoosier bloggers I've come across.

Good quote. I knew that there was more than corn in Indiana? There are cows too - right?

I came across you via the LPM blog. This is an awesome quote--just to keep our eyes on our God, and not on our circumstances. My son just became an Indianaonian, or is that Indianaite?? He goes to Taylor U. God bless you--and nice to meet you!
