I've worked with both elderly & children & it just doesn't matter the age of the person, when you watch someone come to the last chapter of their life book, it is always hard to want to close the book. Life is life and whether young or old it is hard to let go of. Praying that God gives you as many days with your father in law. Sounds like you are all a strong, supportive & loving group. That's so important for him. Bless you as you take on more than your normal routine. God will give you the strenght you need to do more.
Hugs,
LeliaLelia Chealeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13173827811277833243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-42402077929201551372008-04-18T08:51:00.000-04:002008-04-18T08:51:00.000-04:00Hi, Kristen. I'd love to say I can't relate, but I can. I will keep you in my prayers. I love how Elaine put it, a season to "pause". And... remember that you are not alone!
Much love to you this morning,
Angie xoxoAngela Baylishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16846369575832747037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-49465636588435797612008-04-17T21:26:00.000-04:002008-04-17T21:26:00.000-04:00Elaine,My prayers are with you durning your time o...Elaine,
My prayers are with you durning your time of need... You are at a point of exhaustion...both physically and mentally, and God would have you rest. Perspective comes with rest, and that is what I am praying for all in this time of transition.

Some of our deepest understandings about life are birthed in such seasons. God asks us to trust...to put one foot in front of the other...walking it thru with him as our Guide.

One of my favorite verses for walking this journey thru is from Isaiah, as God is instructing his people on how they are to return to Promise from their season of captivity.

“Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the vessels of the LORD. But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the LORD will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” (Isaiah 52:11-12).

Yahweh (Covenant God) takes the lead and Elohim (Creator Universal) follows behind.

Our task for the journey?

Finding ourselves nestled safely in between. It's the high calling and privilege of our lives to abide in such trust. May you find your rest within our Father's arms that reach from our beginning all the way to our end. What a glorious embrace!

peace~elaineelaine @ peace for the journeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09675745465728814736noreply@blogger.com
