Because of my illness, imo the house has gone to rack and ruin. There are only so many hours in the day. Mike doesn't want me to waste whatever energy I have on house cleaning. He doesn't have time to do things like dust, etc. and neither does DD#2. They're both picking up a lot of other extra things. So Mike finally convinced me to hire a housekeeper.

Our winter project is to get the house back in order. Trish, the housekeeper, is the best cleaning person I have ever met in my life. Honestly, she is keeping the house looking the best it ever has. I supervise some things, but she's doing a great job. She's going to help me sort through all the excess papers, magazines, etc that somehow seem to plague people all the time. Mainly she's going to help me trash stuff. It's very liberating!

Do you mind posting the link to the poinsettia website? I have two beautiful ones in 5 gallon pots that I would love to have bloom again next season.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018172805489963981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-86704680184589255982009-01-13T11:25:00.000-05:002009-01-13T11:25:00.000-05:00My son moved upstairs to a bigger bedroom so his o...My son moved upstairs to a bigger bedroom so his other room will become hubby's new office. What a beauty you are! God's love shines through your face and smile.

I really can't do anything major to my house since it is the parsonage, but I have added some touches here and there with decorating. We have a lovely large home that the Lord has provided through our church.

They are in the process of making our patio biggger and putting a cover on it! For financial reasons right now, we cannot decorate, paint, or repair anything, but I can at least organize it and keep it clean, amen?;) So that's my plan for winter. I hope that we get a snow here in Crazyville too. We rarely do, but I do love to watch the snow fall...so, I'm crossing my fingers.:)

God Bless,
Amy:)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05336144938479561819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-43486515137951692002009-01-13T07:36:00.000-05:002009-01-13T07:36:00.000-05:00Kristen--so glad you're are feeling better, and co...Kristen--so glad you're are feeling better, and congrats on all you got done. You sound really focused on getting your projects done.

2 years ago, when my husband was out of town, I painted and re-decorated 3 rooms--L.R, Dining R, and kitchen. (It had been his house when we got married, and he said I could decorate it my way). We had already painted the bathroom right away as it was a pepto-bismol pink. So...I think this winter I want to organize cabinets and drawers and paint our little entryway. Also need to unpack/throw away stuff that is still in boxes from when I moved in 3 years ago!
Have a blessed week! I had a great response to my post on National Organize Your Home Day and am going to do a 'tip' post each week. So with that said I have some organizing to do in order to post some pictures on Friday.

Otherwise, it is just adjusting to my husband being laid off work and our need to find medical health coverage for him because of his kidney transplant and all those very expensive medications he takes - lots of work ahead!!

Blessings to you and prayers for your own business' and finances.

CindyJoy Junktionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02396533426075869292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-17374754128163882022009-01-12T21:46:00.000-05:002009-01-12T21:46:00.000-05:00Love the new profile pic Kristen. I am hopeful that we will be pulling up some carpeting and laying some hardwood in the coming year. We haven't moved very fast on these projects due to the fact that we have been talking about moving a little south of here closer to our jobs. You sound so cheerful today. Thanks for being you. This is a nice place to come after a long day at work;)much2ponderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02392298165950651491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-18443100776600187622009-01-12T20:00:00.000-05:002009-01-12T20:00:00.000-05:00No winter projects for me. They are colors I'm satisfied with and with the house for sell, I can't justify the time and money in redecorating. Although, I love to decor. I'm staying away from Hobby Lobby for that reason. I somewhat dread spring because with it comes lots of yard clean up by myself. It can be rejuvenating to see the progress of the end result but can also be draining with the emotions of selling and being left to tend to it alone.
One day at at time. I don't know that we've even hit the hardest winter in my parts.
Love,
PaulaPaula Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13948349907036852384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-19942676245167305922009-01-12T18:18:00.000-05:002009-01-12T18:18:00.000-05:00I found myself doing a little early Spring cleanin...I found myself doing a little early Spring cleaning after Christmas. It was easy those couple days because we had that burst of warm temperatures that came through. That doesn't happen that much here in TN, but we are hoping for some "bad" weather this week! Hopefully it will be more than rain, but some white stuff too!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00595146379776585343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-725545600126284207.post-84095119828851858052009-01-12T17:42:00.000-05:002009-01-12T17:42:00.000-05:00Thought about you a lot last week... glad your hea...Thought about you a lot last week... glad your heart is happier.
